Kernan Valley Flying Club is an aviation community based near Tandragee in the heart of Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland.
We fly Microlight aircraft, and exist to promote, support and foster microlight aviation in Northern Ireland.
Kernan Valley Flying Club was founded in 1999 as a home for microlight aviation in Co. Armagh Northern Ireland. Over the decades since, Kernan has been developed by the O'Carroll Family and club members, to become one of the premier microlight flying facilities in the UK and Ireland. With a famous welcome, modern facilities, and two operational runways, our club is perfect for those with a passion for aviation.
Club membership is diverse with members of all ages and from all walks of life - testament to the accessibility and affordability of microlight flying! For a fun, safe and affordable means to fly, nothing can rival microlighting from Kernan!
For pilots visiting Kernan, PPR and an understanding of the particularities of operating from our strip is essential. Our welcome is legendary, and visitors are always welcome.
Our members come from all walks of life, all ages and all genders. We are a community of aviators, and love to chat aviation as much as we love to fly!
Microlight flying is one of the most affordable and fun ways to learn to fly! Kernan Flying School, based at our airfield, can help you realise your dreams and take to the skies!
We'll be joined by the General Aviation Safety Council (GASCo) for a safety evening on April 4th starting at 6:45 in the clubhouse. All members are encouraged to attend, and pilots from neighbouring clubs are more than welcome.
